Oh, it was a September to remember, alright.
Twenty years ago in October, wedding bells were ringing. We decided to celebrate with a trip-of-a-lifetime in September for reasons I explained in THIS POST. And what a trip it was. Iceland.
It. Was. Amazing.
It was beautiful, it was relaxing, it was fun, it was … surreal. The photos only scratch the surface, really. About the pictures — I spent some time before the trip stressing about what gear to bring. Do I carry the big guns around when there are no kids to photograph? You may have read about my philosophy on taking pictures on vacation in THIS PIECE — but with no kiddos on board, I wondered if I’d even end up taking many pictures. Well, duh. Iceland is incredible and I took a TON. But I have no regrets about leaving the big ‘ol Canon kit at home — these were all taken with my Fuji XT-1, my new little waterproof Olympus TG-4, and our iPhones.
Wanna talk about Iceland? Me too. I can’t stop thinking about it or talking about it. Feel free to drop me a line if you’d like any tips on traveling to this dreamy place.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, real life was happening. Closing up the Breezy bungalow, diving head first into LYYP busy season, and of course, doing the back-t0-school hustle. I think I’ll let my IG feed tell the story this time around. 😉
Thanks for looking!
