Everything I do and say during our time together is geared toward helping you and your family relax and have a good time - so that I can catch you in the act of laughing, snuggling, swaying, diaper changing, playing, tickling, telling knock-knock jokes over milk and cookies, jumping on the bed, blowing bubbles in the tub, having a family dance party in the kitchen … whatever!
You guys. This is just the tip of the “INFO” iceberg. You’re going to have questions and worries and we’re going to talk through them all. I provide lots of info once you book — including a super detailed online Client Guide - and there will be a questionnaire and emails and chats leading up to your session to make sure that when it’s time for the actual session, you’re able to relax. To slow down, to be present, to have fun, to enjoy where you are in your life right now. So that I can freeze it for you to keep forever. How awesome is that???
WHERE DO YOUR SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
They say that home is where the heart is. That’s where my sessions take place, too. All the best smiles, the most relaxed interactions, the most authentic adventures take place at home. If you like, we can of course play in the backyard as well, or stroll to the neighborhood park or ride bikes or scooters around the block too. Generally, your home needs to be in Westchester County, NYC or Southern Connecticut. I do book a limited number of travel sessions per year - drop me a line to inquire.
UM, MY HOME? BUT IT’S NOT PHOTO WORTHY!
WHAT IF MY KIDS ARE A NIGHTMARE, JAYE?
Relaaaax. Seriously — You see all these kids and families on these pages? This was their number one worry, too. I’m not going to tell you that every single moment of your session is going to go just exactly as you want it to go. Your newborn might cry. Your kids might start shy. Or show off. Or misbehave, even. But don’t worry. I’m never in a hurry, and I know just what to do/say/not do/not say to bring them around so that they show me the version of them that you know and love and want to capture. And all the other versions, too, some of which will be a distant memory in a year’s time and that you’ll be glad you caught. I promise you that we’ll get lots of good images throughout this whole process, and that together they’ll tell a story that you’ll treasure.

Of course you don’t. Neither do I. And yes, that was the number TWO worry of most of those moms and dads whose happy faces you see all over these pages. But they shouldn’t have worried either. Because those smiles you see? They look real because they are real. You’ll see – it really is fun! One of the best compliments I frequently get from my clients, in fact, comes before they’ve seen as much as a sneak peek – they tell me they’ve fallen in love with the process before they even see the outcome. DO YOU OFFER DIGITAL FILES?
Yup, sure do. In fact, each of my collections comes with ALL the images in your gallery, plus a print credit - and the most popular ones also contain at least one awesome book. It's important to me that you end the process with a tangible embodiment of your story - one that you can hold in your hands - to anchor those memories in your mind, and to make the story invincible. When you contact me I’ll send you a full price list with collection details and costs.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCT, JAYE?
Oh, I’m so glad you asked that. In my opinion, the photos I take are best enjoyed in a book. My most popular collection comes with your choice of a lay flat storybook album or a big fancy coffee table book. To me, it’s the book that brings the forever value for my sessions. Nobody’s ever gonna cuddle up on the couch together and enjoy a hard drive or camera roll full of old family digital files, amiright?
how much should i expect to spend?
My session fee is $400 and my collections start at $1200. While it’s nearly impossible to compare apples to apples when you’re looking at photographers, - we each bring our own unique vision and approach - I feel confident that my session experience is a great value. I know that my families are investing their time, trust and money in me when they book a session, and I take that really seriously. I work super hard to make sure that every one of them is thrilled with both their end product and with their entire experience. I’ve been at this for almost fifteen years, and most of my clients in any given year are repeat clients — that’s pretty much the best compliment they can give me, right? Also telling is my five star Google Rating (makes me blush, actually). Contact me for a full price list.
A very good question, friend. The truth is that in certain months, I book out waaaaay in advance. This is because to ensure that your experience is easy, fun and super satisfying, I strictly limit the number of sessions I take per month. But there’s NO time of year that’s not good for capturing your story in your home. Let me know what months you’re open to and I’ll send you along some available dates. If you’re expecting, get in touch as soon as possible. I hold onto a block of time based on your due date, and we figure out the details when the big day gets close.
