You won’t see any photos of the snow in my February Moments of the Month post. It was there, alright. It was everywhere. Lots of it. But I was completely OVER it. So … we spent a Sunday at the Museum of Natural History, we escaped for a few days to Florida, and we mostly stayed inside.
If you’re wondering where my darling girl is in these family-day photos, it’s a good bet that she’s standing directly behind me. She does that sometimes when my camera’s out these days.
The Natural Disasters exhibit at AMNH was pretty powerful. Watching the animated map of Breezy Point and the rest of the area flood, then darken, then light up with fires was honestly moving.
Pompano Beach! The weather was chilly for all but one of the days we were there, but the sun was shining and there was NO snow at ALL. We were really happy to be outside and to spend time with Mimi and Pop.
I sometimes wonder what I’ll do when this guy, like his big sister and brothers, is no longer such an eager participant in my photography games.
My little “One Second Every Day” video is HERE — plenty of snow there if you’re craving a slightly more realistic picture of what February 2015 looked like for the McLaughlin family.
And …. it just started snowing. On the first day of spring. Come ON, winter! Move on, would ya?
Thanks for looking,
~Jaye
