My families value photos as a way of documenting and remembering the best parts of their lives right now. The real things, like the way their kids look at them or the silly faces they make or the way they chew on the corner of their blanket while listening to their favorite book. They have no interest whatsoever in dressing up in matching outfits and dragging everyone to a pretty park, all the while praying that everyone in their family behaves. They’re BUSY, and they sometimes feel like they forget to pay attention as much as they’d like. They know that some day, all these details will be in the past and that these photos are their legacy.

I’m serious about limiting the number of sessions I take per month so that I can serve every family with 100% of my attention and enthusiasm. This means I book out pretty early. The best thing to do is to get in touch now. The second best thing is to sign up for my emails so that you know the info about availability first. And in case you’re wondering, EVERY month is perfect for in-home family photos. You don’t have to limit yourself to May and October!

I don’t offer standalone mini sessions. Short and rigid time frames don't allow the kind of breathing room that I like to have to help everyone relax, to soothe a fussy baby or warm up a stubborn toddler or convince a hammy six year old that they don’t have to show me “cheese” face and show off the whole time. I like time for snacks and games and tickle fights. I honestly want our time together itself to feel like something you’re glad you did (even before you’ve seen the photos!) I sometimes do popup events. Info on those go to my email subscribers first.

First of all, thanks for thinking of me! But I’ve found that in order to capture the real moments I most love to photograph, sticking with the intimacy of immediate families who have done their own research is best. I’ve got a wonderful network of talented photographer friends I’m happy to refer you to, though. Drop me a line!

My session fee starts at $400 and my collections (which include all the digital files and more) start at $1200. It’s nearly impossible to compare apples to apples when you’re looking at photographers, but I feel confident that my session experience is a great value.
