Time is just zooming by, friends. Spring is upon us, and unless things change dramatically, spring 2021 is promising to look very different than spring of 2020 did. What a time to be a family photographer whose MAIN GOAL is to help families appreciate and remember the details – big and small – of each chapter of their story!
In spring of 2020, we were slowly creeping out of our homes and living a lot our our lives outside — all in the name of safety. I had a lovely morning with this family soon after the world started to open up. We ate blueberries, chased the dog around the yard, went super high on the new swing set, and even roasted marshmallows over the fire pit.
Beautiful memories of a crazy time.
(Know what else? After their session, this mom wrote me a super sweet Google Review talking about their session — it’s the third one featured on my home page! I had to shorten it a bit there due to space, but since I’m re-living these happy moments here in this blog post, I think I’ll post the whole thing here. You’ll indulge me, right?):
“We have had the pleasure of working with Jaye for two full family sessions over the past few years. She is an absolute joy to work with–her enthusiasm is contagious, she is extremely flexible, and her photography is stunning. Our two young kids love her (my older daughter, who is 4, had so much fun having her picture taken on the swing set with Jaye this summer that she still says “I want to go as high as when Jaye was here” every time she gets on the swings). Even my younger one who was going through some serious stranger anxiety given both her age (15ish months) and the fact that she hadn’t really seen anyone except her immediate family in months needed only like 2 minutes to get acclimated and had a great time. We love that Jaye does some posed shots (which are always lovely, and also include our dog and cat), but mostly takes pictures of us being a family…pictures that really capture the moment. We look forward to working with Jaye again many times in the future!”
Thanks for the memories, friends. 😉
