While I’m lucky to be able to say that I tend to book up several months in advance, I always try to squeeze in a family newborn session when I get the opportunity. I mean, those days and weeks after a brand new baby joins a family are as unique as they come, and they tend to wind up in your memory as one big fog. I consider it a privilege to be able to pop in and document what life was like during that time. How teensy teensy new babies are when they first come home. How electric the mood in the house is, especially when older siblings are involved. It’s fun to be a Mamaroneck newborn photographer.
I visited this family (referred by baby’s aunt and uncle in White Plains – yay!) when their fourth baby was only four days old. That’s a wee bit earlier than I usually recommend for newborn sessions, but it was just before Thanksgiving and we didn’t have much time to work with and … just look at her:
Is she not perfect? She was welcomed by her three equally gorgeous older siblings. What fun we had.
I’m so happy to have captured this beautiful time in this family’s life. That’s the best thing about newborn sessions, for sure.
Thanks for looking,
~Jaye
