I stayed up way past my bedtime to get these pictures posted before midnight — they’re already late, you see. To guard against falling behind and ending up feeling overwhelmed by the buildup of my own personal photos (which I love to take, but sometimes procrastinate on the culling, editing and posting), I have very strict rules about when my monthly post should be published. I strive to get each “Moments of the Month” post up before the end of the following month. So yeah, I’m late. I blame summer. (And building my NEW website. I’m obsessed). I think the boss is busy enough with other (summery) things and will let it slide, but I didn’t want to push my luck 😉
Since Hurricane Sandy a few years ago, various changes have been made in an effort to protect against future storm surges. One such change has been the addition of a sand “berm” on the bayside. The initial response to this berm was resigned disappointment – it doesn’t do much for the view from the houses. But I soon realized when I started taking photos at family gatherings on the bay that the berm was going to be the star of the show.
There’s always a proliferation of muses in June.
June is always a back-and-forth month.
I’m off to bed now, and tomorrow I’ll start work on my July post. (Who’s rooting for me?)
Thanks for looking,
~Jaye
