Good morning! The sun is shining! The birds are chirping! It is finally time to put away those winter coats and hats!
Yes, spring is here. And before we blink, it will be over. (Let’s not even get into the issue of yesterday feeling like summer, okay? Or else we’ll find ourselves wondering if spring even exists at all.)
So, spring is a short season around these parts, no matter how you look at it. Have you been pondering a spring session with The Life in Your Years Photography? Well, the time to plan is now. Here’s a rundown of what I’ve got left this spring, with some bonus info on my schedule for the rest of the year. (Or, you know, that portion of my schedule that relates to photography. You do NOT want a look at my home calendar — complete with sports, theatre and school commitments. It’d give you hives. Trust me.)
APRIL — One weekend session, one weekday session left. Fully booked.
MAY — One weekend session, two weekday sessions left. Fully booked.
JUNE — Filling up fast, but still some openings!
JULY and AUGUST — I generally only schedule a few sessions in the summer, because of the whole ‘kids-being-home-twenty-four-seven’ issue. Things might be a little different this year, because I’m still wondering what this Breezy Point family’s summer is going to look like post-Sandy. (This uncertainty is not sitting will with my uber-planner personality, as you can imagine, but hey, some say spontaneity is the spice of life!) I will update on this as the time gets closer.
SEPTEMBER — filling up fast.
OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER — looking good so far, but don’t be lulled into inactivity. When these start going, they go fast.
So, that’s the rundown. Enjoy this beautiful weather! And because a post feels incomplete without a photo, here’s my most favoritey-favorite one from last night’s family session. I call it, “Not quite sure just yet.” — she’s totally sizing me up from a safe place. You’ll be happy to know that before long, this little cutie had abandoned all reservations about me and the big black box I was pointing at her, and joined in with her three big sisters hamming it up for my lens. Good times!
