I got a Valentine’s Day card the other day.
Not from my valentine, or from my sweet boys (well, I did get cards from them, but that’ not what I’m thinking of), but from a clever and creative mom here in town. She has combined her desire to reduce the intensity of the Christmas holidays with her love of all things Valentine to a create a made-to-order family tradition. Instead of Christmas cards, she sends Valentines to her friends and family. Mine arrived right on time — on February 14th — the perfect pick me up in the middle of a long, dreary winter. Erin talks about her heart loving habits on her blog, “Lovesome”, here. This year, I was happy to play a small part in her family’s holiday tradition — no annual card would be complete without a photo or two of the family (complete with the family dog) to help everyone on the list keep track of how fast the kids are growing!
