Step 1: scheduling your session

($100 more for weekends and NYC)
Payment of your non-refundable session holds your date. It includes a pre-session planning and prepping consultation, 1-2 super fun hours of shooting time with your immediate family, and my selection and individual editing of the best images from your session. 

Once your session is complete and you’ve received your preview, you’ll make an additional purchase of your choice of three collections. (Collection prices and descriptions are in Step 3, below - keep scrolling!)

Honestly? This might be the trickiest part. I’ve been in this game for a while and I’ve got a full roster of families who have become regulars. This means that my schedule fills up fast, especially in the popular spring and fall months.

But that’s OK! We don’t need spring blooms or fall foliage to capture your family’s love and chaos — get in touch and we’ll talk dates.

SESSION FEE: $400

Once we’ve agreed on a date, booking is online, easy-peasy and super fast.

Step 2: the experience

Once you’re booked, I’ll send you my online Client Guide, which contains everything you need to know about what to expect and how to prepare. Between the time you book and your scheduled session, we’ll be getting to know each other through an online questionnaire, some email back-and-forth and at least one more phone call. Why all this prep and talky-talk? Well, I want to dispel any worries and questions that might enter your head beforehand and try to convince you to do your very best to relaaaaxx. 

The ultimate goal is to have fun during your session — to be who you are on your best day as a family — so that I can catch you in the act of doing just that.

Sessions vary in length - it’s very much a ‘go with the flow’ vibe. I ask that you please block off about 2 hours. Typically we’re done within 90 minutes or so, but I’m never in a hurry to leave if a kid or two is slow to warm up or if things are going great and we’re all still having fun.

What’s the session itself like? Look around at the photos throughout my site — I assure you that what you’re seeing is not fake snuggling, fake silliness, fake fun or fake smiles. 

You can’t fake this stuff - it’s all the real thing. (The occasional pout, naughtiness and goofy expression is real, too — these are the kinds of things you won’t even know you want until a few years down the road - trust me!)

 I promise to do everything in my power to make your session as pleasant as possible (yes, even fun!) so that the memory of the day is almost as treasured as the photos themselves, and that your kids are asking for another play date as they watch me head out the door.

Step 3: choosing your collection

You’ll have access to the slideshow for 24 hours, and will choose a collection during that time. After that, you’ll have a full month to select the specific online Gallery Shop items you want to use to fill that collection. Easy-peasy, I promise!

Once your photos are ready (about three to four weeks after your session), I’ll send you a link to a slideshow that includes all of your fully-edited images. 

This slideshow preview is 98.9% guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, or both.

It’s no secret that I think your story is best told in a beautiful storybook. 

If you choose the middle or top collection, we’ll talk about which of these beauties is right for you.

STEP 4: SPENDING YOUR PRINT CREDIT

You’ll have 30 days to spend whatever print credit is included with your collection. I’m always available to help with decisions and designs. 

Once you have selected and paid for your collection, you can download your images right away. We’ll start collaborating on your album design and you can start shopping in the integrated online Gallery Shop.
