I’ve always included all the gallery images in my newborn and family photography collections. Because of the way I photograph families, the galleries contain alllll kinds of little detail in addition to the more traditional photos most people expect. When you hire me to be your family photographer or your newborn photographer, the collection you purchase comes with every image in the gallery.
Why? Well, there are lots of reasons. One, though, is that I neeed for you to see the cute little details about your baby that are right in front of you all the time but that are hard to really see and appreciate when you’re in the thick of the chaos of caring for your family.
For example.
There’s nothing cuter than a baby who’s got so much chub that there are dimples on her hands where her knuckles should be. Or one whose two middle fingers are always in his mouth. Or one whose legs are so chubby that their feet end in points. Or one whose eyebrows express more than an adult vocabulary. You’ll love these photos now, but your heart will break into pieces when you look back at them when the babies are grown and these cute little details are gone.
And let’s be honest. The rate of change that happens during the newborn stage is phenomenal, and we as parents – sleep deprived and overwhelmed – are ill-equipped to remember any of it. My photos (see my newborn portfolio here!) give you the bookmarks you need to remember each detail.
