Has this wonderful weather got your thinking about summer fun? The kind of fun I had photographing this gorgeous Connecticut family last September, perhaps? Well, then the timing of this latest installment of my “In Their Words” Series should hit the spot.

I didn’t know how I could possibly love this years photo’s with Jaye more than those she last took at our home, but the pictures from our September session take my breath away. I wanted all of the things that we all want in our family photos – to remember my kids and family exactly as we were this summer. We had had a great first summer with a new boat, my son had discovered a love of fishing, and my daughter was still a fairy princess.
We met on a gorgeous late summer night, and Jaye couldn’t have been more flexible, kind and fun. We couldn’t decide between beach and boat, and ended up fitting in both while somehow never feeling rushed. Jaye brings out the best in her families – the pictures are so much more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed, and I’m once again so grateful to Jaye for her kindness & for sharing her gift with us. We can’t wait until the next time.
Spending the evening with this Connecticut family brought back lots of happy memories of my own childhood, bundled up in big orange life preservers on any one of my dad’s string of used boats. I’m so happy that these kiddos will have these photos to anchor their own memories of summer 2019. You can see their last session at home HERE. I’m looking forward to next time, too!
