Well, this is unusual, friends. It’s not often that I sit down and write about a holiday sale. And the truth is that the subset of people who will be interested in this particular sale is not massive. Most of the families who invite me into their homes for sessions succomb to my enthiusiastic and hypnotic (and tuly heartfelt!) urgings to choose a collection that includes at least one storybook — a place for the moments we capture to live through the generations, bringing true forever value to your session — but a few don’t.
I get it. Some of them hatch and execute big plans for their photos that serve a similar purpose as that of my books. I’ve seen full gallery walls from a single session. I have seen blankets and pillows and calendars and coffee mugs. I have seen yoga mats and candles and even a set of pickleball paddles. The photos who are blessed with those fates will live forever. I’m not worried about those.
There’s another category of people who don’t choose books, though. They loooove the photos, but they plan to make a book themselves. Some of them have made multiple photo books in their pre-kid life, and many have enjoyed the process. But. Something happens when kids arrive — I don’t need to tell you what that is — that prevents them from spending the required hours at the computer designing and purchasing photo books to line their family bookshelves.
I’m talking, with this sale, to those people.
(And GAH, I sure do know how to talk, don’t I? It’s a straightforward sale — why does it take me five paragraphs to get to the point?)
Here it is:
From now though December 20th, families who have worked with me in the past 10ish years can purchase a McGuire Storybook or Lincoln Coffee Table Book — designed by me — for 40% off the a la carte price. Families who already have a McGuire Storybook or Lincoln Coffee Table Book from the last YEAR can purchase a duplicate for 60% off the a la carte price. (I see holiday gifts — for you and for loved ones — written all over this offering!)
