I’m finding that NY outdoor family photo sessions can be super duper fun, as long as we are all prepared ahead of time to be ready with a hefty list of activities to make the time feel as natural as possible. What I want to avoid is my obedient families standing in their yards, looking for me to tell them where to stand. Boring, stiff and natural. Instead, we have a great time together and I capture them all in the act.
The truth is that one situation in which I never have to worry about fun naturally happening is when there’s a puppy involved. Little Macy is one of many “pandemic puppies” I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. (Scroll to the end to see a behind the scenes image taken by mom of Macy as my assistant!)
Sweet yellow lab pup Macy was a wonderful assistant, and I was tickled when mom sent my some behind-the-scenes photos of her at my side.
