When I first met this family, and showed up at their home as their Irvington photographer, little sister was a teensy weensy tiny newborn thing. And the boys, they didn’t really know what to make of me. The first session with a family is always a bit of a learning experience. We got great images, for sure (and I have LOVED seeing them on their walls every subsequent visit!) but there was a little bit of fear of the unknown (did we really just get ANY good pictures?) on the part of everyone. Except me. Oh, and baby sister. It didn’t occur to her to worry. 😉
Anyway, fast forward a few years and a few sessions and these kiddos now know exactly what they’re in for when I arrive. They know it’ll be a fair mix of being silly and cuddling for the pictures mom wants. They have plans for re-creating past scenarios, and they know just how much to ham it up. Mom’s an old pro too, and she knows now that even in what seems like utter chaos, great photos (and great memories!) are being created.
It’s honestly kind of awesome to get to this place with my families. It’s the number one reason, in fact, that repeat LYYP clients are the best LYYP clients.
If you are looking for an Irivngton photographer, be sure to drop me a line. Maybe I’ll put you in touch with these old pros so that you don’t have to take my word for it — it’s really fun!
Thanks for looking,
~Jaye
