Fourth Annual LYYP Pic of the Year Contest – Here’s 2016!

Hello friends!  I hope 2017 is treating you well so far.  This coming week, I’ll be traveling to sunny Santa Barbara to a photography conference and I was thinking, so that you don’t all miss me too much, I oughtta get the annual Pic of the Year Contest going here on the blog.  Good idea, right??  2016 was a wonderful year for LYYP and as I dive head first into my SEVENTH year doing this thing that I love, love love to do, I find myself feeling grateful, as always, for all of you who made that possible.  So let’s have a little fun, K?

The finalists for 2016 have been chosen with the help of my esteemed panel of behind the scenes experts.  Now, it’s up to YOU to decide who will win the title — and the grand prize that goes along with it!

Drumroll please … here are the LYYP 2016 finalists!

Now, here’s how this is gonna go down.

THERE WILL BE THREE WINNERS:

The images with the most votes wins the Grand Prize of a 16×24 Float Wrap valued at $275! You can vote once here on the blog (by simply describing you pick in the comments) OR by liking your favorite image on Facebook (in the 2016 LYYP Pic of the Year Gallery) OR on Instagram (just search #LYYP2016) — feel free to ‘like’ any other faves you see as well. That’s at least THREE votes you can cast for your favorite(s) — the image with the most combined votes wins!
The runner up will win 200 LYYP Bucks good toward any session in 2016.
ONE RANDOM VOTER will receive 250 LYYP Bucks good toward any session in 2017!!! That’s right, you don’t even need to have an image in the final round to win this contest! (Just drop me a line in the comments letting me know that you’ve voted so that I know to add your name into he hat!)

WINNING STRATEGIES

I know you want to win this, and I’m telling you right now that you can’t do it alone. In order to gain an advantage, you’ll have to call in reinforcements. It’s easy. I’ll even give you a sample email/text/facebook post/phone script to send along to your friends  — it has worked great for some past winners — to make it super easy. Just copy, paste, edit and send:

“Dear [friend/neighbor/colleague/Mom], Hope you are [well/feeling better/doing great] Would you please do me a favor? Voting begins NOW and will continue until Tuesday, January 31st.
I will announce the winners on my blog on Wednesday, February 1st.
Sessions must be scheduled by November 16, 2017 and are subject to availability.
