It’s still my birthday, you know. It’s LYYP’s birthday all month. When you don’t have a studio grand opening and you’ve been in business successfully and happily for five years, you get to declare your entire first month in business your birthday. Says me.
It’s fitting that I’m sharing this session now because these two little fireplugs have been with me since before LYYP was a business. As in, that crazy fall of 2010 when I put out an open casting call for models to allow me to try this family lifestyle photography thing on for size in exchange for free photos. That was a crazy fall. But these two were instrumental in showing me what a business like this could be like. Like having little friends all over who look forward to your visit as a cool play date with a goofy grown up. Little friends who have minor potty accidents during their session because they don’t want to take a break and risk missing the fun. (Not naming names and this was a loooooong time ago, people, but it did happen!) Little friends who have had me back once or twice a year ever since, and who I’ve had the pleasure of watching grow and mature into beautiful and exuberant young ladies. Sigh. I love my job.
You can see their last session HERE and click back from there, if you like. Not all the sessions have included the whole family, but my favorite ones have. I think we’re due for a whole-family session next!
Thanks for looking,
~Jaye
