Last month, when I put together my April Moments of the Month blog post, I started to notice that I was slacking off a bit on taking personal photos. This does not make me happy. Knowing that May was going to be jam-packed with client sessions, I decided to do an experiment. For the month of May, I took all my photos with my Fuji XT1, and I took them all in jpeg (as opposed to RAW, which is what I normally shoot in). What follows are some of my favorite moments from the month of May — a ‘family day’ trip to the High Line, a big birthday for Grandma, the Regis sophomore semi-formal, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Biography Day, and a couple of random days. They not be as super-crispy sharp as I’m used to and I may not have perfect color on all of them, but … I have them. And that makes me happy.
I upped my Instagram action, too. You know you can follow me on Instagram HERE, right?
You can see the May installment of my “One Second Every Day” project HERE. May was not the best in terms of remembering to take video every day, BUT as of today, I’m at 100% for June! Go me!
I hope your May was great, and that June is treating you well so far. As we slide into the summer, I’m appreciative of all the fun things that happen for us this time of year, and looking forward to a relative lull when summer hits!
Thanks for looking,
~Jaye
