“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever … it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” ~ Aaron Siskind.
The details of the home, and of each kid’s bedroom, that are so lovingly chosen. The big bowl of toys in the middle of the kitchen table that keep little hands entertained at a moments notice. They way the kids climb all over their beloved Burmese mountain dog like he’s a giant, cuddly stuffed animal. The way the shy “who are you?” expressions at the very beginning of the sessions evolve into “this is AWESOME!” expressions by the end, when the games and the rule-bending have had their full effect. These are the little things that I get so excited about seeing in the collections of photos from a session. This family has these forever now. (Or, they WILL when their storybook albums arrive!) (Hold on to your hats … there are a lot of photos in this post!)
We had a lot of fun. Don’t miss one of my favorite photos from this session HERE. Thanks for looking!
