It’s the first official day of fall.
So, why does summer feel like sooooo long ago?
We said so long to the salt water for a few days for some fresh water fun …. rafting and camping!
So much to see and do in Coney Island …
All of Mimi and Pop’s grandchildren …
The two big boys caught the cooking bug this summer. Of course, there are always mishaps.
The summer finale … Mardi Gras. This year our walk’s theme was “books” and we decided to become one of our all time favorite bedtime stories, “The Three Billy Goats’ Gruff”. What a great time …
And of course, here are my instagram faves from August. So many great moments.
That there (above) is the house I grew up in in Brooklyn. The kids and I went back to school shopping one rainy day and decided to do a drive-by afterwards since it had cleared up. I wish I had been able to go inside … I wonder how reality matches my memory.
Paul wore that coonskin cap (above) for a good portion of the rest of the summer. Kate wowed us in the 40th annual Breezy Point Teen Show (below), …. but Paul found it to be a bit too long. 🙂
There are so many stories behind these photos. I hope these posts will help me to remember them all.
