”To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
One of the coolest things, I think, about larger families is that they provide undeniable evidence that every person is born with their own unique personality. I’m pretty sure I’ve said this here before (I tend to repeat myself on things that I find fascinating). What we as parents do is to gradually get to know each of our children, and learn as we go what’s the best way to guide them through the many lessons and experiences that comprise the process of growing up. We’re always on our toes, because lessons learned with one child are frequently all but inapplicable to another. It’s a constant challenge and a continuous source of wonder.
I’m not going to tell you how different the personalities of these four fun siblings are … I think you can see it just by looking through the photos. (And yeah, I’m proud of that 🙂 )
I will tell you, though, that you should stay tuned to this here url because early next year, if you’re paying attention, you’ll get to meet another member of this gorgeous family — I, for one, can’t wait to see how this family’s new baby girl will fit in to this beautiful potpourri of personalities!
Until then …
