Sooooo many great moments in December. There is no other month that is so action-packed. It’s fun. And yet, I always breathe a sigh of relief when it’s over. Because it’s crazy!
I acquired a new obsession this December. Two things led to this new obsession. First, I sent my big fancy camera in to the manufacturer for an annual cleaning and tune-up after shooting my last session for the year. Second, I got an iphone for Christmas. A little early. Can you guess what the new obsession is? OK, I’ll tell you. It’s Instagram — an iphone photo app that helps you document and share the moments of your daily life. I know, right? It’s made for me!
Needless to say, this kept me busy when my “big girl camera” was away, and I’ve tried to keep up with taking at least one photo a day on Instagram, even since the big camera came back. I’ve even created a new blog to keep these cute little photos in — I call it “McLaughlin Family Adventures”. Here’s a snippet from that blog:
Of course, I took plenty of photos with my big camera, too. It was a beautiful holiday filled with the best Christmas tree EVER, and lots of family, friends, food and fun. Our annual post-Christmas road trip was to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania — great for the history buffs in my group, and hugely relaxing for one and all.
Wow. That was a long, picture-heavy post. Is anyone still here? Well, thanks for looking! (Also, thanks to the very helpful and informative volunteer/park ranger guy who took the family photo above, and allowed me to appear in this blog post!)
