It was Papa’s seventy seventh birthday. That’s a lot of candles (looks like he may have missed one).

The theme for this week’s photo challenge at I Heart Faces is “dramatic black and white”. I think the way the smoke is curling up the left side of the image is cool, and I like how the light from the kitchen behind him shines through the glasses on the sideboard.
